Hello collegians

Today were going to talk about BCI's or brain-computer interfaces the most helpful thing for  paralyzed people.The way can do is actually quite fascinating and don’t worry I’m gonna make sure you’ll understand it.Not because your dumb but because it well be too long to read and I don’t wanna write long quotes. another thing about BCI’s that it turns out it can help other people too,not just people with paralysis.Personally I think it’s a great idea but there might be some problems with it but I hope we can get through it and help the people with these problems.

First off how they can actually do it three ways but each has a different way of doing it with the same result.One type of neuroprosthetics which there are called by can tap into signals of working muscle and make them produce movement to the paralyzed portion near or externally through the nerve system.Another one can enable it from the outside by listening for murmurs by electric waves from the brain but that still in development.The last one is actually implanted in the brain to listen for the chatter of neurons either in single or small groups.Which makes me feel that we are closure to being in real life blade runner or at least futurama.

This well actually help a lot of people like the 400,000 that are either partially or completely paralyzed in america.This can also work for people who are death by connecting the neuroprosthetics to the part of the brain that makes you hear.Another thing that they can fix are people who are death. They can do it by transmitting images by video cameras to electrodes in the implanted retina in the back of the eye.Another way they could do it is enabling blind subject to perceive simple patterns and distinguish light configurations  with the implant.

These are great things but there some problems like the fact some of these are still in development.As well as finding a way to pay for this if medicaid isn’t going help pay for it.Also the fact that they might do something wrong to your nerve system or your brain.But I still think this is a good thing and I hope we could find a way get through it.It well help so much people and can pave the way for more technology that can help more people with diseases.

BCI’s are pretty amazing things to be invented through these years of robotic limbs.To the way they are going to be used and the people they gonna help.They are some problems that can’t be avoided when talking about this.But I choose to believe we can get through it so other people can get there life back.As well as improve putting technology implants in people with other disabilities like diabetes.  All in all I think this is one thing that proves we are heading the right direction.
